South Clareview Playschool

Due to low enrollment numbers, the South Clareview Playschool Program is NOT running for the 2019/2020 school year. We hope to return next year.
Small Class Sizes
The South Clareview Playschool provides smaller class sizes and fewer parent helper days. We accept a maximum of 12 children per class, and run AM and PM Classes for 3 and 4 year olds.
General Information
Program
- Learn alphabet, colours, and numbers
- At least one field trip each month
- Reading and physical activity
Child Requirements
- Must be fully potty trained
- Must be 3 years old for Tuesday / Thursday class
- Must be 4 years old for Monday / Wednesday / Friday class
Parent Responsibilities
- Bingos: Through the school year parents will work 2 bingos in support of South Clareview Community League. Working these bingos helps offset some of playschool expenses and lowers your fees.
- Fundraising: There will be at least two fundraisers each school year - to be determined by the Executive Board. Participation in the fundraiser is mandatory and the monetary obligation must be met and paid to the playschool even if the items are not sold.
- Parent Helper Days: Our classrooms are run with the help of the parents. Parents work along side the teacher as support to allow for an amazing class experience and to meet our child to adult ratios. Having parents help in the class is a great opportunity for you to see what your child is learning and it also helps us keep our fees low.
School Supplies
- Indoor Shoes with white or non-marking soles.
- Backpack
- Lunch Box
Snacks
- Must be peanut free.
- Must be healthy - no junk food.
- Each child brings his/her own snack.
- Snack time is only 15 minutes. Please pack only what your child will eat in this amount of time.
